I now declare the Evening Chat room open!

If you are online in the evening and want to chat more than leaving a message on a particular subject join in here!

Hopefully it means you can find everyone who is online at the same time and although we don't have instant chat set up on this site, this will hopefully work similarly!

Please note the forum rules above. Feel free to start a new topic or keep adding to this one,

This is your space on One Space!!

Yes it was set up as we have noticed that a few of you are enjoying each other's company in the evenings and also I saw that you were thinking you could all watch a film and discuss it afterwards etc. or just general chit chat

Please note that ALL members are welcome here, we are a very friendly lot :D

Could we choose a smilie to represent a halo, do you think? It is the one icon that seems to be lacking. How about  ?

I could find halo smilie on internet.
Who knows how to add it to sidebar selection?

There is a lovely halo option on another forum I use.

Would it be needed here often though?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peg
I know, I came here earlier and it was like Marie Celeste.

Now you're not here.

In fact, I'm just talking to myself.
Which is not very interesting as I know what I am going to say.

Sorry, I had Scouts.

Then eldest lost the key to the house, so we went around town trying to find it only to find that it had fallen out his coat pocket in his friend's house.

I thought I was going to somehow try and find money to change the locks, as the key ring is obvious to anyone who's been to this house. So relieved...

I'm sorry I wasn't around earlier.

Oh sparkling, what a worry for you!

Guys, how about if you are going to chat (or are out so won't be around till, say, 11) then do a little post on this thread so that if anyone checks in they can see what time someone is likely to be along?

Hello everyone,
I had another one of my funny days today. I dont know what is wrong with me!

I took peas out of freezer upside down, peas now loose in freezer & none in bag, they can stay there!

took chicken gravy out of cupboard, lid off, not gravy breadcrumbs! so opened another, again breadcrumbs! (dont even ever get round to using breadcrumbs!)found gravy eventually.

walked into door.

kids said they could smell burning plastic after dinner, I left ring on & lid burning!

As well as all that I have driven the wrong way when I took G-pigs over because I was on auto to somewhere else.

Oh AND had the AA out AGAIN when we came out from taking G-pigs, this time to the car I brought to tide me over until I sell my 8 seater. It has imobiliser on it & got stuck. I knew I had to take the battery connection off to stop it, but no spanner. I will now have to drive around with a 10ml spanner to hand!

Oh & the awful realisation when I went to put washing away in airing cupboard that the nasty smell I keep smelling in there could be coming from the loft, as I looked up to put sheets at top I noticed BIG whole, oh no more men round here to fix things!

How has everyone elses day been?

I'm sorry that your day has been challenging.

We went to watch aeroplanes this afternoon in RAF Valley, which was ok. Ages since they've all been happy to go out!

I was about to give up and go to bed. Tired, for some reason.

I was thinking the other day how nice it would be to come up & have a cup of tea with you when ex comes here to look after kids, I am thinking of going to see friend in Wigan & stay there, I could come from there. Only idea anyway, I will talk to you about it on Y sometime.

It's been a plodding sort of day.

My daughter's gone on an overnight hike/camp with other Explorer's (all girls, to think it's Scouts), so she's been on my mind!

I'm hoping it won't rain.

Been going through photos - never a good idea really, although I think I should do it to toughen me up!

My daughter's fifteen and a half - as she likes to remind me!

The rabbits and the guinea pigs have got nice clean hutches. The younger two cleaned them out. Their big brother was working today.

I stll have a wallow - and its five years since I split up. Photos are hard really, as it all got sold...

used to have loads of rabbits and one poor harrassed guiena pig! no pets at present - just a 5 and 7 year old! put aside a load of photos for him and sorted some out for kids as gave them each a little album to keep pics of them, and them with daddy in. fifteen and a half seems a whole world ago! :D

I sorted through the photos when we split and gave a load to the ex.

The children - and I was, to be fair - pretty shocked when I took them there when he was getting ready to move. Loads of stuff in the rain 'for the dump' he said - including a box of photos of the children. All the colours running in the rain...

Clearly, he's dismissed his past life.

The children have album's with him in. My albums don't have him in :D unless some feet have gotten in the way!

We were married for 20 years

September will be 25 years since I got married, and the same date will be my fifth anniversary of my divorce. Made me feel it was meant to be! 8-)

Hi purplepeg

Hopefully sparkling will catch up with you in the next couple of days. Sounds like you had a really sentimental time yesterday with the sad film and the photos. I was wondering about how you felt about the photos you still have on display? It's great that the kids can still see them but not so great for you by the sounds of it. You could consider putting a photo of their dad in their bedroom and so you do not have to have them in the lounge?

Hope you have a good Sunday.....
