tax credits

Hi,

I have recently split with my husband of 12 years we have 3 children and instead of feeling sorry for myself ive got a part time job doing 16 + hours anyway  as I went to sign on as a single person for job seekers allowance  and as I started work on the monday had to tell them and housing benefit too my new situation. Do I qualify for a run on for my rent and council tax as when my husband and I were together he claimed income support for me and how long does it take for my tax credits to sort out as im very worried about my rent not getting paid as at the moment me and my 3 children are just living on my wages and child benefit. The housing benefit have my certificate of earnings form and yet to be given my 5 wage slips which as this is only my 3rd week next week they have not received them. can U please give me some advice
