Sole custody

in need of advice

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I am recently divorced and when I picked up my 4 children yesterday, my ex wife informed me that she has spoken to a solicitor and is filing for "sole custody". What exactly does this mean and why would she be doing it? Thanks in anticipation. Chris.

Hello in need of advice

You will see from the link that Hazeleyes kindly provided that it is rare for one parent to be given sole custody in legal and physical terms unless is can be shown that there is a reason for the other parent not to share it....so one thing you need to think about is what grounds she will be putting foward to say that you should be excluded. There aren't many, so hopefully you can oppose this Smile
