Local Community Champion Volunteers Required for One Space

‘Your Local Support and Events’ is one of the newest additions to One Space. From job clubs, local gardening initiatives to family support groups this section of the site provides information on a range of single parent friendly services and activities.

One Space is recruiting ‘Local Community Champions’, from all over England, to find information on local support groups and upcoming events in their area and upload to the website.

As a One Space ‘Local Community Champion’ volunteer you will receive a free training package and incentives. In addition to learning new skills, you will be raising awareness of local support groups and helping single parents to find local support and take part in fun activities and events.

To become a Local Community Champion you will need:

• Regular access to email and internet at home
• Basic email, internet and word processing skills
• An understanding of being a single parent and you are passionate about supporting single parents / individuals in need
