The world famous Clifton Suspension Bridge was designed by the great Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, to span the spectacular Avon Gorge.

A visitor centre on Leigh Woods side of Bridge contains displays and artefacts explaining the history, construction and maintenance of this world famous symbol of the city of Bristol. There’s also a retail area that has postcards, greetings cards, information and souvenirs of the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Free guided tours are provided at 3.00pm every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from Easter until October (note that this is not suitable for large organised groups). Guided tours of the Clifton Suspension Bridge for organised groups are available at £3 per person (minimum charge of £60.00 per group).
