W.H.A.C. is a registered charity which provides services relating to the health and well being of women and adolescent girls in Northumberland.
The services are delivered by trained volunteers who are supported by paid staff. A Health Trainer, employed by the NHS, is also based at the centre to offer help and advice on lifestyle issues.
Moving On is a self-help friendship and support group for recent and long-term widows and widowers living in Herefordshire. There is no membership fee and no age limit.
We are a new club run by volunteers who have a wealth of experience in arranging good value holidays. We hire group accommodation and also use build your own package companies like Travel Republic . The cost of holidays ranges from just £25 for a 3 night break to a bit more for a nice villa holiday abroad - hopefully we offer holidays to suit all budgets.
3VYP works in Mousehole, Newlyn and Paul to empower children and young people and improve their self-esteem, confidence and well-being through a range of creative activities. The aim is to give young people opportunities they would not otherwise have.
This project works with young people 13 - 25 living in Manchester, Salford and Trafford providing a range of services including counselling, individual support, group work and volunteering opportunities.
9 Lives Furniture provides good quality, low-cost second hand furniture to people living in Watford, Rickmansworth and the surrounding areas. Local people generously donate their unwanted furniture and other household items, the items are then supplied to people who wish to participate in this scheme. There is a two-tier pricing system that enables people on low incomes to benefit even more.

Aanchal Women’s Aid are a women's organisation that assists women affected by physical as well as mental, financial, sexual and emotional domestic abuse. Our guiding principle is that we will never turn our back on a woman in need of our help. And we won't give in to bureaucracy at the expense of real lives. While some statutory agencies turn women away because they don't have the right legal status or their situation doesn't quite fit into the agency's remit, we'll do what we can to help. Regardless.
Acacia provides telephone support and a weekly befriending service for mothers and their families affected by pre or post natal depression across North Birmingham. Acacia Dads is a free support service for dads and other family members who feel they may need some extra help and support after the birth of a child or help in finding ways to support their partner who may be experiencing Postnatal depression. Services also include creche facilities, pamper service for mums attending post natal support sessions, baby massage classes, resource library and family fun sessions..
Advice and casework on welfare benefits, housing, debt and money problems. Initial advice on other rights issues like employment rights, consumer advice etc. Services for anyone who approaches the advice centre for help and lives or works in the catchment area: Moss Side, Hulme, Whalley Range, Chorlton, Rusholme, Fallowfield.
Also provides advice to clients outside the catchment area but any casework is signposted to the client's nearest service provider.
Provides support to African refugees and asylum seekers living in the North East of England. Provides advocacy, information and advice, operates a drop in service and runs occasional activities and training courses at the weekend.
A voluntary support group for African people which provides information, support and advice on topics such as housing, benefits, jobs, training and helping them to settle and make contact with others from similar countries.
Services offered to the African & African Caribbean communities, including refugees and asylum seekers.
Advice can be given on health matters, housing, welfare, education, employment, death, and harassment. Support ids also availlable as is a women's group. social and cultural events are organised.
