Fryent Country Park is a green oasis in the London Borough of Brent and has over 100 hectares of meadows, woods, hedgerows and ponds with over 800 species of wildlife. The Park is always open for people to enjoy and a great place for walks and picnics plus fun and games for the children. Barn Hill Conservation Group was formed in 1984 to help to conserve Fryent Country Park. The Group holds regular projects each week throughout the year. Training is given and all tools are supplied, together with free tea and coffee. News appears in the groups 'Keeping in Touch' newsletter. There is also a ramble on Wednesdays and childrens' activities; in addition to the Natural Magic activities organised by the Friends of Fryent Country Park, educational activities can be organised on weekdays with Brent School Without Walls.
