Bridge Women's Education & Support Centre - Colombia, Sulgrave, Albany and Chester-le-Street

This organisation has centres in Colombia, Sulgrave, Albany and Chester-le-Street. The Bridge aims to increase women's confidence, self esteem and support their personal development to be independant and have control over their own lives and learning activities.

Services include:

• Accredited and non accredited courses on subject such as: Internet & E-mail, Beginners Gardening, Jewellery Making, numeracy and literacy skills and early years and playwork training.Bridge have a wide range of qualifications on offer together with leisure courses, and provide a creche for the pre-school children of students.
• FREE quality childcare to all learners
• Confidential Listening Service with trained volunteer listeners, Self-help groups, Advocacy Service and Drop-in facilities. The 'Drop In' group offers a befriending service where women can meet other women for a cuppa and a chat.
• Learning Support which can help with sign language support, mentoring and IT support
• A selection of volunteering opportunities
