Employability Skills Course - Newcastle

Newcastle College is launching a new course which aims to get people back into employment. The course is for anyone who is unemployed and wanting to find work in one of the following areas: Business Admin, Retail, Customer Services and Care.

The course will run over 5 weeks and the learners will work towards different stages. Within the first two weeks of the course the learners will complete the Award which will cover all employability modules and induction. On the third to the fifth week of the course the learners will complete the Certificate, in which they will complete sector specific modules and a work visit to a relevant organisation. There will also be job search sessions built into the programme to give the learners opportunities to apply for jobs.

Employers from relevant organisations will also be undertaking guest speaker sessions and we will also work towards guaranteeing interviews with employers whilst the learners are on programme.
