W.H.A.C. is a registered charity which provides services relating to the health and well being of women and adolescent girls in Northumberland.
The services are delivered by trained volunteers who are supported by paid staff. A Health Trainer, employed by the NHS, is also based at the centre to offer help and advice on lifestyle issues.
Provides support to African refugees and asylum seekers living in the North East of England. Provides advocacy, information and advice, operates a drop in service and runs occasional activities and training courses at the weekend.
Minority Ethnic womens' centre, run by and for women from minority ethnic communities. Provides advice and support on benefits, employment, health, immigration and housing. Young girls group - English and computer classes and other vocational courses. Translation & interpreting service and Creche. Opening hours: Monday - Friday 9.15 - 12 noon, 1 pm - 4.15 pm
