    Newcastle Farmers' Market

    Popular local food producers' market held outdoors at Greys Monument in the City Centre the first Friday every month from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

    All products on the Market must be raised, grown or produced within a 50 mile radius of the site of the Market. This gives the Market a truly local feel as well as supporting local farmers, growers and producers

Bill Quay Farm
Bill Quay farm has developed into a rare breeds centre with animals including cows, goats, pigs, sheep, chickens and rabbits. Also has an art trail and is a green retreat for wildlife. Facilities include a cafe (weekends), picnic areas, baby-changing facilities and disabled ramps and toilets. Cafe is also open during school holidays (12 noon - 4:30pm).
BME Case Advocacy project
The BME Case Advocacy project is a free service for everyone from the Black and Minority Ethnic communities aged over 18 and who lives in Newcastle. Provides short-term advocacy support around health and social care issues. This includes talking about treatment with a doctor, care in hospital, getting help in the home and information about support services.
Discovery Museum
Discovery is a free museum where the exhibits are about life in Tyneside. From the area's renowned maritime history, including Turbinia once the world's fastest and the first steam-turbine powered ship, to world-changing science and technology, it has something for everyone. The museum also hosts interactive displays, entry is free.

The Community Furniture Service is a furniture and electrical reuse and recycling project. The project provides a wide range of furniture, electrical appliances and general household items (curtains, crockery etc) at affordable prices and also provides training and development for disadvantaged people within the East of Newcastle to support people to gain long-term jobs.
