St. Hilda's East is a thriving community centre providing educational, social and recreational activities for a multi-cultural population of all ages.
Projects include:
Bondhon which supports Bangladeshi women who are experiencing mental health problems,The Women's Project which works with local women; particularly those who are disadvantaged by language or lack of awareness of services, general advice; including Housing, Benefits and Debt with home visits to housebound people in the Bethnal Green area and free creche for children aged 2 to 5, whose parents attend other activities in St. Hilda's, such as English language or fitness classes. Volunteering placements are also offered for to gain experience of working in the creche, mini bus driving, reception work and working with project groups.
