The Great River Race - London
A spectacular boat race up London's River Thames that attracts around 300 crews from all over the globe and appeals to every level of competitor from those who enjoy fun, fancy dress and charity stunts, to serious sports men and women who like to win Gigs, skiffs, Chinese dragon boats, Hawaiian war canoes, Viking longboats, Irish curraghs, shallops, wherries, whalers and more provide a wonderful spectacle on the Thames at the annual Great River Race.
The race runs upstream from the Millwall slipway through the centre of London to Ham House, upriver from Richmond bridge.
FREE for spectators. There is a fee to enter the race (see website)
