Fun weekly activities now flourishing include Stay’n’Play for parents and toddlers; Tot Stars, a music and rhyme group; and Bilingual Babies, a group for families who speak more than one language at home. A teen to 24 group for young parents and Bumps to Birth, an ante and postnatal group, as well as courses for parents looking to brush up on their skills, with a crèche provided on site.

Avenue out of school club runs a holiday play scheme during each of the school holidays, including half term holidays, summer holidays and INSET days. The play scheme operates in the same premises as morning and after school club and is staffed by regular club staff making the holiday provision friendly and familiar to children attending after school club. We also warmly welcome other schools to attend our play-schemes.  Children aged 4-12 are able to attend holiday club.

Credit unions are financial co-operatives owned and controlled by their members. They offer savings and great value loans plus they are local, ethical and know what their members want. Each credit union has a "Common Bond" which determines who can become a member of the credit union. The common bond for Bedford Credit Union relates to people living or working in the area. The members save regularly and create a fund to make loans to each other. The Credit Union offers a basic financial service to its members.

Services include mentoring schemes and homes for children, assessment centres for families in crisis, holidays and short break care for children and adults with learning disabilities, mental health services for women and day support for adults with learning disabilities.

Also provides volunteering opportunities such as admin and working in the Break shops.

BfN Registered Volunteers run this Breastfeeding Support Cafe. These groups are a way of meeting health professionals who are committed to supporting breastfeeding mothers and also a great way to meet others.

We offer a confidential telephone service of support and information to survivors of rape, childhood sexual abuse and other forms of sexual violence. Our volunteers will listen to what you have to say and help you to find ways to express difficult feeling and situations. We do not make judgements about the women who use our service nor do we tell them what to do.

CARA offers support, information and counselling for children, young people of both genders and adult women who have experienced sexual violence, either directly or indirectly, in the recent past or historically.

Provides advice and support services for childminders and parents across Norfolk.

Services includes advice on choosing a registered childminder for parents and training for childminders.

Christians Against Poverty is an award winning national debt counselling charity working through a network of centres based in local churches.

CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in-depth free service.

The Citizens Advice service helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Cottenham Toy Library is a community group that aims to lend good quality developmental and imaginative toys to families in the surrounding area, whilst also providing a meeting point for parents and carers alike. We also run several extremely popular events within the village throughout the year.

The Toy Library offers free refreshments, craft activities and encourages children to play with the toys before borrowing them during sessions.

We aim to provide quality childcare during after school hours and most school holidays. Although we operate from school premises, CRASH is not run by the school but by a Volunteer Management Committee of parents. We are registered with Ofsted and employ qualified and experienced playworkers. Our playworkers have also been police-checked.

We provide appropriate information, advice and guidance through in-depth structured support in a safe and welcoming environment. It is confidential and impartial with equality of opportunity for all, regardless of race, gender, religion or disability.

 Embrace is a small charity based in Norwich, which provides support to pregnant teenagers and teenage mums.

They have a number of project staff who visit young mums at home and offer practical help and support.

A volunteer centre runs this furniture recycling scheme for people in need. They collect and redistribute furniture and household goods. A small charge is requested to cover delivery costs. Members of Furniture Recycling Network.

Home-Start is a voluntary home visiting scheme offering practical support and friendship to families with pre-school children (under 5's). Available to all families. Particularly helpful for those experiencing frustrations or difficulties.

The Ipswich Furniture Project is an organisation that collects furniture items (that adhere to fire regulations) which they refurbish if necessary and sell on to people on low-incomes. Volunteering opportunities are sometimes available.

Leavesden Children's Centre is situated in the grounds of
Leavesden Green JMI School, in Leavesden, North Watford.
The centre gives babies and children (up to 5 years of age) in WD25 postcodes the best possible start in life.

Leeway Women’s Aid offers advice, support and information to women and children who have or are still experiencing domestic violence in Norfolk or other areas if appropriate.

Catering for children aged 0-5 and their families. Little Forest Children's Centre is housed on the school site and is run by Centre Manager Sarah Warner.  There is a full day care nursery - Rainbows and other services to support health and well being of the families who live in Tunbridge Wells but particularly those living in the Sherwood, High Brooms and St. Barnabas.

Sherwood Park School has strong links with the Children's Centre in signposting its parents to a range of activities and support.

Maidstone Gingerbread is a self-help group which provides a support network for lone parents.

The Group meets weekly where activities vary. Some weeks members have a chat over a cup of tea of coffee whilst the children play. Other activities include: bingo or quiz nights, weekend movie mob at the cinema, picnics and outings at local parks and wildlife areas, ice skating, day trips and holidays at the seaside.

The first three weeks membership are FREE. Group membership fee is £8.00 per annum and once members have officially joined subs are £5.00 per calendar month.

 Milton Keynes Women & Work Group provides a range of services, which are aimed at unemployed women and women in low paid/low skilled jobs, who want to gain or update skills through further education or training to better their work chances. The services offered range from courses in employment skills to self -confidence and conversation.

Norfolk Homemakers aims to provide very affordable furniture for people in need and on low income. We also work in partnership with a variety of organisations including social services and charitable bodies. We often help people with a variety of problems including those leaving hospital after a long period of time or those suffering relationship break-ups.

A wild and remote shingle spit, the largest in Europe. Follow trails through a stunning landscape full of history. This is an internationally important nature reserve littered with debris and unusual, often forbidding, buildings from a sometimes disturbing past.

Peterborough Women’s Centre is a charitable organisation in Peterborough, run by women, for women. 

It has a focus on raising awareness of women’s issues, women’s education and personal development. Offered are a range of courses and support groups for women and their families.

Relate offer counselling in the following areas: Relationship Counselling, Sex Therapy, Counselling for Young People, Family Counselling, Counselling for Staff of an External Organisation. As well as the address listed appointments are offered in:

Relate is working to promote health, respect and justice in couple and family relationships.

Three years of hard fund-raising by Rotaract enabled the building of this wonderful centre. The local community have continued to support the development of the project, which is based at The Parks School in Oakham.

SPiN Is a lone parent support group for single, divorced, seperated and bereaved parents and guardians raising children alone.

Stevenage Vineyard Church (http://www.stevenage-vineyard.co.uk/)  has partnered with Christians Against Poverty CAP (http://www.capuk.orghttps://www.capdebthelp.org) to open a Debt Centre in Stevenage. 

Story and Rhyme Times will feature African-themed books and the launch of a Yoruban call-and-response greeting that will then be incorporated in to the regular Rhyme time repertoire. Look out for dynamic Ghanaian storyteller, musician and dancer, George Fiawoo at Cromer and Sheringham Libraries.

SupportLine provides a confidential telephone helpline offering emotional support to any individual on any issue. The Helpline is primarily a preventative service and aims to support people before they reach the point of crisis. It is particularly aimed at those who are socially isolated, vulnerable, at risk groups and victims of any form of abuse. SupportLine is a member of the Helplines Association. SupportLine also provides support by email and post.

We work along side local families who have children aged under five, providing information, advice and a wide range of services. Help with returning to work, finding childcare, family support, family health and much more is offered.

SWIM's is a Social Networking & Support Group for Single, Working & Inspiring Mum's in the Tendring District, please check out our Face Book group to find out whats going on.

SWIM's provides the opportunity to meet & connect with outher local SWM's, for support, encourage, socials with or without the little ones, and lots more.

Single Mums have been shown time and time again that they are often the most isolated family group.  SWIM's aim is to help change this

The Tendring Furniture Scheme is a charity that collects donated furniture items to pass on to low income individuals and families and provides training and qualification in furniture repair and restoration.

The Benjamin Foundation was founded in 1994 and exists to help people in Norfolk deal with many of the challenges that life throws at them; whether ‘everyday’ issues such as childcare or heartbreaking problems like abuse and homelessness.

We are a fun club for children of primary school age, running before and after school and most school holidays.

Ideal for working parents/carers or just as a club for an hour or so before and after school.  We also offer fun activities for your child/children during the school holidays.

Tiny Acorns was conceived to meet the demand in Hertfordshire for baby and toddler classes sessions which encompassed the enjoyment of bonding with your children whilst being educational, exciting and fun. 

Classes are held each Monday morning in Ipswich.

TinyTalk Baby Signing will give your baby a headstart in communication and help to relieve some frustration before they start talking and telling you what they need. Meet other local parents and learn a really helpful skill together.

Prices are reasonable and classes are held weekly. Babies from 0-2yrs are welcome. Come along and have some fun as well as learning something really useful. 

We offer short-term or longer term counselling 1-1 in the community and in schools, regardless of personal faith or circumstances.  Our aim is to help anyone going through difficulties or a crisis in their lives and to help empower themselves to a brighter future.

We have competitive rates and also a sliding-scale fee for those on low income or benefits.

We have some counsellors/trainers trained in facilitating small groups and when funding allows we periodically run these on the following subjects:-

Waveney Women's Health Information Centre (WWHIC) aims to improve the well-being of women in Waveney, by offering support, courses and an outreach service.

The WEA develops, provides and promotes community and adult learning through network and partnership working as well as through its local branches run by volunteers. This helps us to identify local needs and reach a wide range of potential learners.

The regional staff team organises and supports approximately 1000 courses each year in the Eat Anglia area, which are taught by more than 300 professional course tutors within a quality framework. This provision attracts more than 8,000 individual learners (14,000 enrolments) each year.

Refurbish and redistribute items of furniture and white goods which would otherwise have ended up in the waste stream.

The Young Parent and Baby project provides accommodation with support for 7 single young parents aged 16 – 21. Most young parents stay at the project for around 10 – 14 months depending on their particular needs.

The project is a young persons' open access drop in centre for 13 to 29 year olds, providing a vital free resource for young people within the rurally isolated Suffolk Coastal area.
The service offers information, advice and guidance to deal effectively with the transition into adulthood.
