9 Lives Furniture provides good quality, low-cost second hand furniture to people living in Watford, Rickmansworth and the surrounding areas. Local people generously donate their unwanted furniture and other household items, the items are then supplied to people who wish to participate in this scheme. There is a two-tier pricing system that enables people on low incomes to benefit even more.

Services offered to the African & African Caribbean communities, including refugees and asylum seekers. Advice can be given on health matters, housing, welfare, education, employment, death, and harassment. Support ids also availlable as is a women's group. social and cultural events are organised.
Fryent Country Park is a green oasis in the London Borough of Brent and has over 100 hectares of meadows, woods, hedgerows and ponds with over 800 species of wildlife. The Park is always open for people to enjoy and a great place for walks and picnics plus fun and games for the children. Barn Hill Conservation Group was formed in 1984 to help to conserve Fryent Country Park. The Group holds regular projects each week throughout the year. Training is given and all tools are supplied, together with free tea and coffee. News appears in the groups 'Keeping in Touch' newsletter.

Brent School Without Walls organises nature walks and activities in Fryent Country Park for primary school classes, playschemes and afterschool clubs. Actvities are free.

Centralised appointment booking for money advice. Enquiries can be emailed and answered by email. Appointments are held at local bureaux, community venues or the Mary Ward Legal Centre. Clients may be sent leaflets and other self help material or given advice or appointments for specialist advice.

The Play service provides Camden's children with opportunities to play and enjoy their leisure time and to learn and develop in fun, friendly, safe and caring environments. Helping parents to work and study by offering and developing affordable childcare.

Provides community based, accessible services the community. Offer free and confidential information and advice on learning opportunities and career choices for adults. Accredited courses: ESOL classes (all levels), English for Office Skills, ESOL Citizenship, Community Health course, Information Technology (IT), Adult literacy and numeracy, Health and Social Care, Leisure and Tourism and NVQ in Childcare.

Friendship Works is the oldest youth mentoring charity in the UK. We have over 30 years experience helping children from single-parent families in Camden, Islington and Southwark.

Friendship Works is a children’s mentoring charity. We believe that all children deserve to have a supportive childhood and the opportunity to fulfil their potential. 
We work with families in the London Boroughs of Camden, Islington and Southwark. The children we help are between 5-16 years of age, and they all need more support in their life. They might face financial hardship, domestic violence, alcohol or drug misuse, social isolation, divorce or bereavement.

Gardening club for families which meets throughout the year. Works in the community garden and on the Maiden Lane Estate. Also have outings to places of interest.

Without people in meaningful work, communities cannot function. We help people to retrain, gain confidence and gain valuable work experience. From structured volunteering to formal placements with employers, we help people move on a journey towards employment.

We operate different skills programmes in different places, but they are all about motivation and changing lives. Often our programmes are linked to improving the local environment or growing new skills for a greener economy.

Holiday playschemes operate during the main school holidays; children are left in the care of staff working at a centre. Playschemes are usually open daily but check exact opening hours with individual schemes.

Information and signposting for isolated, vulnerable and low income Asian women. Listening services. Advocacy. Drop-in on Mondays with social activities and information sessions. Monthly exercise classes, health sessions. Outings, festival celebrations, monthly shopping trips.

The Centre has its own IT facilities and every term offers free courses to suit all levels, ages and interest. Runs a number of classes aimed at lone parents. Hopscotch Asian Women Centre provides advice and information to Asian women and their families in Camden and helps them access the main stream services.  Support is offered on a range of issues. These include welfare benefits, housing, employment, education, health and immigration matters. Hopscotch provides advice, advocacy and confidential support in each individual case of domestic violence.  Referrals are also made to relevant authorities, as and when necessary. Older Women Group and Social Groups meet weekly to network.
The Kentish Town City Farm has a stock of chickens, cows, ducks, geese, goats, horses, pigs and sheep. Some of the animals are rare breeds and they are are used to being touched by everyone! The primary aim of the farm is to address the educational and recreational needs of local people with special emphasis being placed on children and young people coming from economic or socially disadvantaged backgrounds and young people with special needs. Also offers horse-riding for young people and those with special needs at reasonable rates, visits from pre-school groups and holds events.

When was the last time you had time for you. Mummy me time is a social group based in the London area that was created for single mums. Mummy me time purposes that once a month mummy you enjoy an evening of fun and appreciation that you give to your children every day.

Every month something different cinema, dinner, theatre, comedy shows, casual drinks at a sophisticated wine bar.

Network of single mothers campaigning against benefit cuts and policies forcing single mothers on benefits to take on waged work. The group meets at Crossroads Womens Centre, 230a Kentish Town Road, NW5.
For Sudanese women and children. SWA offers services and holds activities such as:ESOL and IT classes, Social and cultural events to recognise and celebrate Sudanese culture, training, awareness and workshop sessions and providing training to increase the chances of employability.

London School of Science & Technology offers a variety of comprehensive courses that can help a student in getting into a well-paid and satisfying career. The school places a lot of emphasis upon career guidance during the course(s) and after. It advises both home and overseas students in shaping their long term plans.

Toy libraries offer services to local children, families and carers based on regular toy loan for a nominal fee (and sometimes free). They provide carefully selected toys to borrow, play sessions, and a friendly, informative meeting place for parents and carers. As there are over 1,000 toy libraries throughout the UK, serving approximately to find the details of the one most convenient to you, telephone the main office. 

Watford Women’s Centre is a women only space providing a wide range of activities and support for the women using it. Our users are at its core, they inform both what we offer and how we offer it. 

Over the years the thousands of women who have used the centre have told us what they want and for many that is someone to listen so that they can chat in confidence in an informal way, identifying their choices and finding out the information they need.

Wingfield Children's Centre provides a range of support services, parenting support and fun learning activities for families with children from 0-5. The centre also provides activities/services from Canada Villa.

Services include a childminding network, baby massage, stay and play and creche for parents taking part in activities.

Women Like Us is an established service that helps women with children find part time, flexible work in north and central London. We aim to give candidates the confidence and contacts they need to return to work by offering free advice, workshops, career coaching, and links to local jobs. Our career-coaching programme is a mixture of individual 1-1 coaching (on the telephone) and small group coaching sessions, and workshops cover a range of areas such as CV preparation, interview techniques, confidence building and networking.
