I/we agree with SPAN’s aims as outlined at the bottom of this page and agree that
my/our details can be stored on SPAN’s database and the onespace.org.uk site. SPAN is registered
under the Data Protection Act 1998.

The questions below are optional but help us with our monitoring

SPAN aims to:
  • Support single parents to empower themselves and take control of their lives
  • Give a voice to one parent families from diverse backgrounds and cultures living in poverty and isolation
  • Support the development of user-led family groups and connect them with local resources exchanging information, ideas and practice
  • Work with organisations and decision making bodies, developing partnerships to improve policies for one parent families in the UK and internationally
  • Celebrate our diversity, our children, our lives

  • www.onespace.org.uk an online community where single parents can share ideas and gain support, with information on parenting, health, money, debt advice and local groups
  • Group development supporting groups and organisations in networking, training, cultural diversity, sustainability
  • Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities a parenting programme for all families, increasing parent confidence, parent/child interactions, relationships and community involvement
  • Policy and research engaging single parents in decision making, lobbying and raising awareness of poverty, childcare, employment and policies affecting one parent families
  • SPAN model action Study Centre in Bristol offering courses, personal development, money advice, volunteering, childcare and other support services
