Forum Rules
The One Space Forum rules
The forum moderating team is keen to provide a place where members can chat to other members, make new friends and seek advice and support from other members in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Despite our best efforts, some of our members occasionally forget this. Unfortunately, it is simply impossible to write a set of rules forbidding every type of anti-social behaviour.
The fact that the rules do not forbid a certain type of post does not automatically make that post appropriate, nor does it imply that the administrators approve of disrespectful behaviour. Every member of this community has a responsibility to participate in a respectful manner, and to help maintain a friendly atmosphere of thoughtful discussion.
Warning: Our forum is viewable by the general public
Please remember that this is a public forum and any information you post can be accessed by anyone from the general public or by internet search engines such as Google. Once something has been posted on our boards, it is then searched by various search engines and added to their search database. So if you post your hometown or your children's name, it is inevitable that someone will come across your posts at some point in the future. Likewise if you add pictures in your or signature with your family's details and then add your location on your profile, this is all information which will show up when our forum is searched so be careful when mentioning details which, when linked together could lead to people you know identifying you.
Please do not post anything on our board which could lead to people identifying you later as although the moderating team are happy to edit or delete odd posts on request, they are unable to remove all posts posted by a specific member.
Media requests
Media requests or other similar notices from any organisations which require our members' assistance can be posted to the media request thread, please see our Media Request Guidelines.
Advertising on our boards
Advertising in any shape or form is not allowed on the general forum forum boards. Any unauthorized posts which advertise or promote anything including personal or commercial websites, products or services will be deleted. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Members posting unsolicited commercial or personal web site advertisements;
• Members posting messages advertising items, products or services which they are selling/hiring out;
• Members spamming our boards or members with links to websites advertising items, products or services which are for sale/hire;
• Members posting messages advertising or promoting chain letters (of any sort);
• Members posting messages advertising or promoting "Make Money Fast" scams or pyramid schemes;
• Members posting messages advertising or promoting referral promotions or referral/referrer-ID based sites (this includes any other free-item marketing sites);
Linking, promoting, advertising or recruiting to other websites or forums
Members may discuss, mention or post an occasional link to another website, providing the website concerned is relevant to the thread it has been posted in. Please note that the following rules apply to members when posting links:
• Links must be directly relevant to the topic they have been posted in.
• Any kind of link which is purely aimed at advertising or promoting any kind of site at all is NOT allowed. This includes posting messages purely to advertise or promote that website or forum, adding a link to a website as a postscript in every message or placing a link into your signature.
• Linking to members own websites (or those of known friends/family/colleagues etc) even if it answers the question is NOT allowed except with prior permission from moderators. Members wishing to post a link of this kind should contact the moderators to request permission to post the link to that website, explaining where they would like to post their message and why. Unauthorised posts or links will be deleted.
• Linking to the homepage or a section index page (any page other than a specific thread) by way of suggesting 'go here and ask' type answers is NOT allowed.
• Linking to a website or forum site IS NOT allowed if the website or forum is a private membership one and requires users to register or sign up to view content on its pages (this includes private membership forums which have specific 'guest' boards which are open to unregistered guests but where the rest of the forum boards are restricted to members only).
• Linking to a static page on a site which happens to have a forum IS allowed if it answers the question and if the site or forum is a publicly viewable website which does not require users to register or sign up in order to view the content on its pages.
• Using the forum boards to post or send messages to other members which advertise, promote or attempt to recruit our members to use other websites, forums, MSN or other chat/networking groups IS NOT allowed. Any member who is thought to be doing this may have their account disabled by the moderating team and may be subject to a formal warning and a temporary or permanent ban from our forum.
Discussing other websites on our boards (including forums, message boards or other community type websites)
Onespace.org.uk is not responsible for members who use other websites. This includes members who use other forums, message boards or other community type websites. Any discussion threads related in any way to other forums will be removed.
Members may not post messages which discuss other forums, message boards or other community type websites and/or their members. Messages of this type are not welcome on our boards as they are unhelpful and create an atmosphere of unfriendliness and suspicion. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Using our boards to discuss things that may or may not have been said on another forum, message boards or other community type websites
• Sending or posting messages which say that someone is a member of another forum, message board or other community type websites and that someone else is not welcome on that forum,
• Sending or posting messages which allege that someone using our forum boards is also a member of another forum, message board or other community type websites and they have been saying xyz about our boards or our members
• Sending or posting messages which allege that someone using our forum boards is also a member of another forum, and that they have been spamming another forum, message board or community type website (with links to our site or any other)
Should you have any complaints about another forum, message board or community type website, please do not use our boards to complain about them but instead you should contact the forum moderators on info<at>onespace.org.uk about your concerns.
General posting rules
Onespace.org.uk has a large number of forums on a number of different topics. We encourage you to take time to familiarize yourself with all of the different forums so you have a better idea of where to post various topics.
1. Please remember that this is a public forum and any information you post can be accessed by anyone from the general public or by internet search engines such as Google.
2. Please post your message in one section only i.e. do not duplicate your posts. When posting a new topic members should use an appropriate, descriptive title which gives other members an accurate idea of the topic content.
3. Members should post new topics on the most appropriate forum. The moderating team reserves the right to edit, delete or move any topics which are not titled or posted appropriately.
4. Our forum is here for support and general chat. It is NOT a dating or a debating site. The moderating team will delete posts from any member they believe is posting purely for this purpose.
5. Please do not start threads (or post messages in threads) which are FAO (For the Attention Of) type messages or which are aimed at a particular member. These sorts of messages are classed as a private conversation and should not be placed on the forum boards. They are of no interest what so ever to anybody else except the intended recipient and will be deleted by the moderating team.
6. When replying to another member's topic please try to ensure you keep to the topic being discussed in the original post.
7. Members are asked not to post messages that say they are giving away free products if you register or refer other people.
8. Members should not post messages about items that they are selling or giving away. Members should not post messages asking if anyone is selling goods or knows anyone who is.
9. Members should not post messages which promote, advertise or link to any competitions they are running, nor should they attempt to organise competitions on or via our forum boards.
10. Members should not post messages which promote, advertise or link to any petitions they are running.
11. Members should not post messages (either on their own behalf or on behalf of a third party) which are considered to be pleas for help requesting money, clothes or other items.
12. Bumping means adding a reply solely for the purpose of moving a thread back to the top of the board and so keeping the topic prominent. Only moderators are allowed to bump threads.
13. Please do not post threads advertising pyramid, chain mail or "get rich quick" type schemes. Threads containing information about (or links to) websites or schemes or which are not considered by us to be entirely legitimate will be deleted by the moderating team. The moderating team may also remove any threads which refer to, promote or recommend any type of affiliate, referral or survey site.
14. Members may only post messages containing promotional vouchers or money-off codes providing those codes are open-to-all and they include full details of where they obtained the voucher or code from and the full terms & conditions of the code or voucher they are posting. Members should not post codes which are aimed at specific individuals or are single use voucher codes as these are not usable by anyone other than the person they were sent to. Before using any codes listed on our boards, please ensure you are eligible to use them under the retailer's terms and conditions. If someone has not put the terms & conditions on a code, please do not use it - you could be committing fraud. Retailers retain the right to cancel any voucher applied to an order if they feel that the terms and conditions of the voucher were not met. Onespace.org.uk is not held responsible for the misuse of this information or the accuracy of any codes, vouchers or other information which are posted on this board. Please note that we will remove any vouchers or codes if they breach our forum rules or if we are requested to do so.
15. For legal reasons, members are asked not to post messages which offer advice from a professional point of view or in an official capacity (eg Solicitors, midwives etc). Anyone who works/has previously worked as a professional and wishes to post advice on our boards should bear the following rules in mind:
a. Any advice given should be given with the primary intention of providing advice from a personal, not a professional point of view. Advice should be posted on the boards so that everyone using our boards will have the benefit of your advice.
b. Whilst you are welcome to state what you do, you should not use our boards as a way of promoting or advertising any services, business or website provided or used by yourself or others.
c. Whilst you may not agree with the views of others posting on our boards and are welcome to post your own advice to members, your posts must be in line with our forum rules and etiquette.
d. It should also be noted that our boards are publicly viewable and you may be held legally accountable for any advice however well-intentioned, which could result in harm or injury to another person. In particular, members may be held liable for any defamatory comments, threats and untrue statements or other illegal and fraudulent claims made by them. Any posts which are considered to be against our website policies or forum rules will be edited or removed.
General forum rules
1. All members are reminded that they may be held legally accountable for what they say or do online. In particular, members may be held liable for any defamatory comments, threats and untrue statements or other illegal and fraudulent claims made by them.
2. We do not believe that freedom of speech gives any member the right to personally attack another member or members. Personal opinions are welcome but personal criticism/comments/attacks are not. We believe that everyone should be entitled to voice his or her own opinion but this does not necessarily mean it is always appropriate to do so, on our forum.
3. When posting messages, please be aware of the feelings of other members. We appreciate that all members will have varying views on certain subjects but please note that we will close any thread if the discussion gets out of hand.
4. Personal feuds or arguments will not be tolerated. They are not of any interest to other members and just spoil the friendly atmosphere on our forums. Offending posts will simply be deleted.
5. Bullying on the forums will not be tolerated. If you believe that a member is behaving in an inappropriate manner please report it or contact a member of the moderating team.

10. Messages that are confrontational, rude, threatening, hateful, discriminatory or abusive will be removed or edited and the person responsible may be given an official warning or ultimately be banned from using this forum.
11. Members should not post topics that arouse suspicion against any other Onespace.org.uk member, regardless of whether they name that member or post a generalised post, discussing or asking for advice about another member. If you need support with a situation and another member is involved, you must either post for support without mentioning that the person you are discussing is a Onespace.org.uk member or you should contact a member of the moderating team.
12. Members should not post messages that arouse suspicion against new members; e.g. by insinuating that because someone is new, they are a troll or troublemaker.
13. Members should not talk negatively about another member in a thread where they are not participating. Do not post messages with the purpose of provoking other members.
14. Members should not post messages referring to or discussing other threads or discussing what another member has supposedly said in that thread. This includes posting new threads which complain about other existing threads or which may criticise another member's threads.

20. Members should not start a new topic in order to continue a flame war from another discussion thread.
21. Any member who is thought to be deliberately being argumentative, abusive or generally causing trouble (for other members or any member of Onespace.org.uk staff) will find their posts removed from the main forums without explanation and stored indefinitely by the moderating team.
22. Any messages that are confrontational, rude, threatening, hateful or abusive may be stored indefinitely by Onespace.org.uk and referred back to at a later date by Onespace.org.uk as proof of that member's conduct within the forums.
23. Members should not start threads stating that they (or any other member of our forum) are leaving our forum and why. Members should not post any messages discussing if (or why) a member has left our forum. If you wish to leave and would like your friends to know, you may leave a message within another thread.
Rules on message content
1. Please keep this site "PG" rated. Obscene or sexual references will not be tolerated. This site is aimed at parents with children of all ages so material which is not suitable for children should not be posted. Single mums and single dads do use the forum boards with their children around, and many of those children can read. Please can we all remember that anything we write on here needs to be suitable for a child as well as an adult, so not go into graphic detail or post any text or pictures which could be considered to be inappropriate for our boards. We reserve the right to remove materials we consider to be offensive. Any posts that contain pornographic or generally offensive content (text, images, links, etc.) will be deleted and may result in a warning.
2. Any posts that contain pornographic or generally offensive content (text, images, links, etc.) will be deleted and the member will be banned from using the forum.
3. Our forum uses a word censor to edit out swear words & other offensive words or phrases. Obviously, some words are a lot worse than others, but generally speaking, if a word is in the swear filter, it is deemed to be unacceptable for use on these forums. Please do not post swear words or any other offensive words or phrases in such a way as to bypass our word censor.
4. Any member who is suspected of joining our forum intending to criticise, harass or cause trouble for another member may be subject to a formal warning and/or a temporary/permanent ban.
5. Any member joining our forum (whether from another website, forum, online community or anywhere else) should not post messages about other members they believe they may know. This includes posting messages on our boards about that person or replying to that member's posts directly on the boards with the intention of "enlightening" other members about them, or continuing discussions or disagreements from elsewhere which should not be brought onto our boards. Members are asked to offer their advice and support on the actual facts as the original poster has presented them here on our forum.
6. Members are more than welcome to post threads on our boards in order that they can receive advice or support from other members, however they may not use our forum boards as a place to discuss private family matters publicly with other people who are involved in their lives (or may be involved in issues highlighted in their threads).
7. Please do not reveal any personal details on threads that could lead to other people identifying you or your family in the street. If you put specific personal information onto threads, there is always a chance you may receive unwelcome attention from someone. Keep it friendly and anonymous. If someone asks you where you live or what school your kids attend, don't give personal details.
8. Please do not post personal information about other people/members on our forums. This includes a person/member’s full name and/or other personal details, which could be used to identify them. You may not post anyone's private information without their consent.
9. Please consider the feelings of friends or family members before posting messages that could cause offence to that person.
10. Please be aware that just because you consider a post to be offensive or inappropriate does not mean that it is against the rules.
11. Please be aware when posting messages that just because you are posting something that you personally do not find offensive or inappropriate, other members may not share your opinion. If a message is considered offensive or inappropriate by other members and/or by members of the moderating team, it will be removed from our boards.
Threads that may be a wind-up, may cause trouble, done to death, old etc.
The very nature of forums means that new people join all the time and do not know what has already been discussed or the reaction it will get. Consequently the same topics come up again and again and again. Even members who have been around a long time may not be aware or may simply have forgotten about them. Sometimes they may even be starting them just to be controversial or to see how others may react.
If you don't want to have the discussion again then ignore the thread!
Reacting to such threads with replies that show your disdain for the subject, suggest that a topic has been posted as 'a wind up' or ask if the poster is looking for trouble, point out that it is an over done subject and so on and so forth simply create trouble in themselves.
Members should not publicly accuse another member of being a 'troll' (or troublemaker), or otherwise imply they are not welcome on Onespace.org.uk. If you think someone is a 'troll', report it to the moderators.
Usernames & Multiple Usernames
Multiple usernames
Please DO NOT create multiple usernames, for any reason! The moderating team is more than happy to change a member’s username if there is a valid reason for doing so. For example if that member feels they cannot post on our site because they are worried someone they know may use our site and realize who they are.
If for any reason a member feels they cannot continue to use their current username and wants to set up a new account and new username they should contact the moderating team to advise they will be doing so along with full details of the new username & email address etc. Their previous username may then be suspended/deleted by the moderating team
The moderating team reserves the right to ban any member without discussion who they believe is using multiple usernames, or who is believed to be using a false identity purely to confuse, deceive or harass other members.
Publicly questioning other member's identities
Messages that could seem to be trying to "out" someone or are questioning a member's identity etc should not be posted on our forums and any such messages will be removed. The moderating team will then contact the person who posted it (and if necessary the person it was aimed at) to establish why they have posted this message. If there is a legitimate problem, the moderating team will bring this to the attention of Onespace.org.uk themselves who will then deal with it in a way they consider appropriate.
Any member who is worried about another member's identity etc should discuss their concerns with a member of the moderating team. They should not post messages discussing their concerns on any of our forums.
Member profiles
Registered Onespace.org.uk members are automatically allocated a Forum user account which is inactive until they start to use the forum. Each forum account has a customizable user profile which is visible onto you and the One Space moderating team. Members can change or update their user profile in the ‘My profile’ section of the site.
Any text, pictures or links which are added to profiles must comply with all of the existing forum rules or risk being edited or deleted by moderators.
Adding photos or other images to our forum
If members want to post personal photos or images on the site we would encourage them to use our Family Quilt rather than the forum. However they should not post any photos of children unless the children in question are their own. This is because our website can be viewed by anyone from the general public. Any member adding photos to the site should be aware that once photos are uploaded, they can be saved and printed off by virtually anyone. Pictures that are too large etc. or are complained about by other members will be edited or deleted from our site. Any posts that contain pornographic or generally offensive content (text, images, links, etc.) will be deleted and the member may be banned.
Posting personal information on our boards (including email addresses, instant messaging or social networking details)
For security reasons, members are advised not to post any type of personal information on to our forum boards - this includes email addresses, instant messaging or social networking details or any other personal information.
Please note that Onespace.org.uk will not be held responsible for any misuse of any member's personal information which is posted on our forum, whether it is posted on our forum boards, posted in that member's profile or sent to another member by way of a private message.
Complaints about other members
If you think someone is breaking any of the rules listed here, please click the "Flag as offensive" button on the offending post so the moderators can deal with it. Please note that reported posts are used to bring attention to things that need dealing with on the boards and may not be treated as a formal complaint unless it is clearly stated by the member who is reporting the post
If you are not happy with a situation that seems to have arisen on the boards or you wish to complain about another forum member, Parent Supporter or moderator, please do not do post your complaint on the public boards. Instead, you should contact a moderator with your complaint at info <at> onespace.org.uk. We will then deal with the matter and contact the other member (or member of the moderating team) in private if we feel the complaint is justified. It is not fair to discuss other forum members in public and is in fact against our rules.
The moderating team will take complaints about another member seriously and the identity of the complainant will normally be kept confidential. The moderating team will then deal with that complaint in an appropriate manner. This may range from a friendlyemail to the member concerned, to an official warning or even a temporary or permanent ban from our forums.
Members should not discuss complaints about themselves or other members in our forums, nor should they post any messages or start any threads which discuss those members and said complaints. Members should not speculate on the identity of the complainant nor should they publicly accuse any other member of informing on another member. Any such posts/threads will be edited/deleted by moderators without warning.
Any complaints we receive about our members may be stored by the moderating team and referred back to at a later date.
Official Messages & Infraction system
The official messaging & infraction system may be used by members of the moderating team as a way of keeping a record of any members who have been contacted for various reasons, including those who persist in breaking our forum rules.
Official conduct or behaviour messages will be issued to members who persist in more serious abuse of our forum rules or etiquette.
• 1st deviation from forum rules - official behaviour message.
• 2nd deviation from forum rules - official warning
• 3rd deviation from forum rules - permanent ban from our forum boards.
N.B. The One Space moderating team reserves the right to ban anyone from the forums immediately if we deem them to have seriously abused the forum rules.
Members should not use their profile to draw attention to any official messages or infractions they have received on our forums, nor should they post messages which draw attention or discuss any official messages or infractions they may have received. Any such posts/threads will be edited/deleted by moderators without warning
If any member receives a message or an infraction and wishes to query the reasons behind this, they should send a private message to the moderator.
Banned Members
The moderating team reserves the right to ban any member at any time without prior discussion. This includes any member who is suspected to be using multiple usernames, or who is believed to be using a false identity purely to confuse, deceive or harass other members.
Members should not post threads on any of the forum boards discussing if (or why) a particular member has been banned from the Onespace.org.uk forum.
Members should not post notices on behalf of banned members, nor should they post messages demanding that a banned member should be reinstated. Messages of these kinds will be removed.
Any member who has been banned from our forums should not attempt to return using another identity. Any member who is found or suspected to be doing so, will automatically be banned without notice.
Any posts by members who have been banned from our forum may remain on the forum indefinitely at the Moderating Team's discretion. Any member who has been banned does not have the right to expect their posts to be removed. Certain threads may be kept in storage indefinitely and referred back to at a later date by the Moderating team and/or any party acting on Onespace.org.uk behalf.
Members who leave
We are sorry but following changes to the Onespace.org.uk system, the forum Team are no longer able to completely delete forum user accounts on demand. This means that any member who decides they wish to have their entire Onespace.org.uk membership deleted must contact info<at>onespace.org.uk to request that their Onespace.org.uk user account is deleted. Deletion requests will be dealt with on a case by case basis and it may not always be possible to delete a member's user account from our system. Please note that deleting a member's user account does not remove their posts from our boards.
An alternative to having your user account deleted would be to request your account is banned. This would mean that you would still be able to visit our forum and read the threads on our boards but you would not be able to post on our boards. If at a later date, you would like to return to our boards, you can email us to ask that the ban is lifted and you will then have your original user account completely restored.
Any member who has had their forum membership deleted is welcome to return as a member at a later date, however once a user account is deleted, there is no way of restoring that user account and it is also quite unlikely we would be able to allocate the same user name as that member had previously.
Any member who leaves and returns at a later date will be expected to abide by the forum rules at all times. In particular, they should not:
• Bring personal feuds onto our forum boards
• Follow other forum members around our boards, in order to post comments aimed at or about them;
• Post comments which could be seen to be referring to old issues which have previously been dealt with by the moderating team
Any posts by members who have been deleted from our forum may remain on the forum indefinitely at the Moderating Team's discretion. Any member who has had their membership deleted does not have the right to expect their posts to be removed. Any infractions, official messages, formal warnings or threads which have been placed in storage may be kept indefinitely and these may be carried over to any new forum user ids created by that member. These may then be referred back to at a later date by the Moderating team and/or any party acting on Onespace.org.uk behalf.
Members should not post threads on any of the forum boards discussing if (or why) a particular member has left or been deleted from the Onespace.org.uk forum. Members should not post notices on behalf of members who have left.
Forum Administration
The rules listed here cover the most common disruptive or inappropriate postings, but this is not a complete list. We reserve the right to remove any post that we consider disruptive or inappropriate, even if that post is not specifically forbidden by our published rules.
Onespace.org.uk provides these forums as a free service to its members and reserves the right to change or vary the forums or withdraw any part of the forum service at any time, without prior notice or explanation to members. By using this forum, you agree that the administrators and moderators of this forum have the right to rename, remove, edit, move or close any topic (or posts within that topic) at any time should they see fit, without discussion.
Onespace.org.uk cannot guarantee the prompt editing or removal of any content. We do not endorse opinions expressed by members of Onespace.org.uk on its forums. Onespace.org.uk accepts no liability in respect to the accuracy or truthfulness of any advice, information or data posted online, or any responsibility for the consequences of a member acting in reliance on such information.
Although we do have a team of moderators who are responsible for looking after the forum boards and ensuring that members abide by the forum rules, it is simply not possible for them to read all the posts or threads on the forum boards, so anything that could be considered to breach our forum rules or terms and conditions should be reported to us.
If you think someone is breaking any of the rules listed here, or if you think someone might be a troll, please click the “Flag as offensive” button on the offending post so the moderators can deal with it.
Any members using these forums must agree to abide by these rules and Onespace.org.uk terms and conditions. In the event that a member is considered to be deliberately or persistently breaching our forum rules on a specific board or section, we may remove that member's access to that specific board or section. Any member who persists in breaking the forum rules or who does not abide by the terms and conditions may receive an official warning and/or a temporary or permanent ban from our website
The forum rules are applied by a case by case basis at the discretion of the moderating team. Onespace.org.uk may change or vary these rules at any time without prior notice to members.
Free Speech: Think of our website like one of those magazines where you send your photos and letters in and hope they get included. When you send letters or photos in, the editor reserves the right not to publish them. In addition, the editor doesn't list all the letters or photos that weren't published; neither do they justify their reasons. Our forum has a moderating team which acts as editors of the content published by our members. All views are welcomed but you must respect our rules, and editorial rights.
Rights of membership: At the end of the day, you have no more an automatic "right" to use this forum than you do any other facility which is aimed at the general public. Please remember that we are within our rights to withdraw your membership of our forum or to request you refrain from posting on a certain board or subject at any time.
Although moderating decisions are usually kept confidential, the forum administrators reserve the right to inform other members of the outcome of moderating decisions in cases where the other member is directly affected by that moderating decision or if the other member was/is directly involved in that specific case.
The moderating team may occasionally add official threads on behalf of the Onespace.org.uk website and/or the SPAN CEO and Board of Trustees - this may be posted onto the most appropriate section or depending on the content of the thread and how quickly replies are needed, may instead be posted onto a busier or more prominent board.
We collect IP addresses when a user visits or logs into the forums or Site, and when a user posts, emails, transmits or submits messages or personal messages. Generally, an IP address is a number assigned to your computer by a server, router, hub, or switch and can help identify your computer on the Internet. We use this data for general statistics and for possible means of banning a user who has broken the rules outlined in the forum rules or terms and conditions.
The Moderating Team
Please treat members of the moderating team with respect.
Do not publicly accuse a member of the moderating team of being biased.
Do not send rude, threatening or offensive messages to the moderators or administrators, by email, by use of the "Flag as offensive" function, or by any other means.
Do not post messages attacking the moderators or administrators. Any member acting in an aggressive or abusive manner towards any member of Onespace.org.uk staff will be banned from our forums.
Threads or posts which publicly discuss or question posts or decisions made by (or actions taken by) members of the moderating team are not allowed.
Moderators will not get involved in a public discussion or disagreement over any moderating decisions which have been made - this includes discussing whether a thread should or should not be moved, edited, locked or deleted.
Once a thread has been moved, edited, locked or deleted, members should not post new messages asking why a message has been moved, edited, locked or removed. Members should not post new threads discussing that thread, its contents or the reason it may have been edited, locked or deleted. Any such threads will also be locked or deleted
While there is no clear line regarding what constitutes flame bait, the moderators have the authority to shut down threads which they consider too rhetorically hot, too divisive, too extreme, or too inflammatory
Correspondence you receive from moderators and administrators should be classed as confidential and should not be emailed to another person, posted publicly on our boards or shared with other members of this message board.
Please note that any private messages which you may send to any member of Onespace.org.uk staff (including moderators and administrators) may be forwarded to or discussed with other Onespace.org.uk staff members or may be kept in storage for future reference.

Obviously we care a great deal about our members welfare and will do everything within our power to ensure our members receive the help and support that they need however please remember our forum is not a professional support website which is staffed around the clock and regretfully, we cannot guarantee that a Parenting Specialist will always be on hand to deal with any urgent situations that arise at precisely the moment they occur.
If you are distressed and feel that you need to speak to someone on a one to one basis, maybe just for a listening ear then please don't forget you can call the Samaritans 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every single day of the year.
National numbers:
UK 08457 90 90 90
Or if you don't want to talk, you can also email the Samaritans.
Please remember that moderators are not professional counsellors and should any member find themselves feeling close to harming themselves in any way we would recommend that they first consider contacting an appropriate professional (therapist/counsellor, mental health services, crisis hotline, A&E etc).
