Cheap fab place for a holiday!
This weekend me and my 8 year old son went to stay at Horton Women’s Holiday Centre.
We had such a great time I want other people to know about it! I had seen this place advertised before, but until I had a friend’s recommendation I didn’t want to take the chance!
We went on the train, with cheap tickets booked in advance, and it’s only 5 minutes walk from the train station.
The setting is stunning, totally beautiful Yorkshire Dales village setting with a café and village shop and hilly or flat walks from the door. There is a large playroom and a large garden with play equipment. The workers at the house told us about swimming pools and show caves etc locally but we just had fun on the local walks and in the house as we weren’t there for long.
We felt so chilled and snug as there were two open fires, and a kitchen stocked with basic food to which we could help ourselves. So much is provided that you don’t have to take lots with you, and if you’ve forgotten stuff (like I did – forgot towels and a waterproof!) there’s lots of stuff you can borrow.
What really amazing is the cost as you pay on a sliding scale (it’s subsidised!)– plus these prices include food! Figure out what you would pay if you went to stay:

We will definitely go back and I everyone should know about the place!
This was emailed to the One Space team and we really wanted to share it as the prices are so reasonable and if you book in advance, hopefully the trainfare will be too! (Sorry but this Centre does not offer places for single parent dads)
