News Flash - CSA payments
The Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission (CMEC) has decided to phase out payments of child maintenance made by giro, in line with other government departments. From the 13th September 2010 they will be writing to those who are paid their child support by this payment method.
The Commission have told us that they appreciate that there will be circumstances where payment into a bank account, building society account or Post Office Counter Account is not what their clients would prefer. This could be for a number of reasons, including that the client's circumstances may mean it is not practical.
If you are a parent with care who receives their child support payments by giro, please make sure that you inform CMEC if you prefer to continue to be paid this way.
